It's come to my attention that former Presidential candidate Bob Dole is formally endorsing Kansas candidates. At least, I I'm looking at a mailer suggesting as much.
If you're a regular reader of this blog, my feelings on the former Senator from Kansas are no surprise. Here's a quick rehash--Newt Gingrich called him the Tax Collector for the Welfare State. Since leaving for office, he's never met a conservative he wouldn't knife in the back. He's been named a favorite son of Occupy Wall Street and advocated for a treaty that probably wouldn't end well for anyone with a disability.
And now, he's endorsing Republicans who have a lifetime 'F' rating from the National Rifle Association and legislators that Trust Women call "pro-choice."
If you continually advocate against staples of the Republican platform and attach your name to liberal causes on what seems like a daily basis, should you still call yourself a Republican? Asking for a friend.
